Larry's belief in insurance stems from his own experience.

As his father passed away unexpectedly with no life insurance, Larry was forced to leave school to help support his family.

Larry entered the financial services industry in 1988 with Prudential Assurance Co. until it was sold in 1994. In 1995, in order to serve a growing clientele, Larry joined some of his former associates at Independent Financial Concepts Group Inc. 

Larry has had many accomplishments over the years. Early in his career, Larry qualified for The Million Dollar Round Table, an exclusive association of the top 5% of insurance professionals from around the world. Larry has also qualified as a member of the Court of the Table, an elite association of the top 2% of all insurance professionals in the world. Larry has also been nominated for the Agency Producer of the year award, for his continuous assistance to and guidance of newer agents.

In addition, Larry has acquired the most sought after designations in the industry. He is a CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), Ch.F.C. (Chartered Financial Consultant) and CFSB (Certified Financial Services Broker). Larry is currently enrolled in the CIM (Certified Investment Management Course).

Larry believes in providing a full range of financial products and services to his clients. This, coupled with his knowledge base and commitment to see the job through, has allowed Larry to meet the needs of his broad range of clients consisting of young e-commerce entrepreneurs, professionals, high net worth individuals, and successful executives. His commitment to his clients extends beyond a purely professional relationship. He has helped his clients save for their first home, protect their family through the effective implementation of insurance programs, save for retirement and save on taxes - knowing how the Income Tax Act works and how to structure creative approaches in order to maximize opportunities and minimize taxes is one of Larry’s key roles. In addition, he concentrates on life, disability and group insurance.

Larry is married to Cheryl Berger, a lawyer and has 2 daughters. He currently sits on the Board of The REENA Foundation, an organization that supports and integrates people with developmental disabilities into the community. He is a founder of the Annual REENA Mardi Gras Ball.
